Small sales need different fee math

The US Poshmark preset charges $2.95 below a $15 sale price, and 20% at $15 or above. Its fee uses item price, not buyer-paid shipping. Change the rate fields only if you intend to use a Custom model.

Enter shipping discounts or additional label charges you pay as seller shipping. Do not count the buyer-funded label again as your cost. Enter any seller fee tax or other deduction in Other costs.

Hypothetical closet sale

For a $12 sale, $3 purchase cost, $0.50 packaging and no seller-paid shipping, the modeled fee is $2.95 and profit is $5.55. At a $15 sale, the fee is $3.00. The threshold matters when comparing offers on inexpensive items.

Check the actual offer

Use the official Poshmark guide and your offer screen for current charges. A discounted shipping offer can change the outcome even when the sale price looks acceptable. Record actual sale deductions in your inventory after it sells.

Poshmark buyer-paid postage is not credited as seller revenue in the preset. Enter any shipping discount or extra shipping charge you bear as seller shipping or Other costs. Poshmark shipping guidance explains that buyers pay for postage.
